Found Guilty; or, “The Marquis’ Vindication”

“Found Guilty” follows the fate of the Marquis of Mount Heron, exiled to Greece, living as a recluse with his young daughter. His dark history has never been revealed to her, but is soon brought to the surface when his daughter manages to save a young Englishman from certain peril.

Written by Mrs. Harriet Newell (O’Brien) Lewis (1841-1878) and printed in serial form in The New York Ledger, The London Journal and The New Zealand Herald in 1877.
